Re: New category - Basso Continuo Sources

Uploaders can most certainly suggest tags Tags can't be suggested. Well, in my opinion it was a great idea to include text sources ["writings"] in IMSLP, but it should have a different upload page. The current upload page is appropriate for music pieces only and therefore the normal taggi...

Re: New category - Basso Continuo Sources

Sorry for keep going on about this,
but what can the uploader do in order to suggest tags to a specific page? (not including writing in the forums for each case)

Re: New category - Basso Continuo Sources

For example, there is this: http://imslp.org/wiki/Per_sonar_nel%27organo_li_cento_concerti_ecclesiastici_(Viadana,_Lodovico_da) The preface of this publication contains important basso continuo text (i.e. should be tagged also in "writings"). There is nothing I can do to help it be tagged ...

Re: New category - Basso Continuo Sources

Thanks.
Is there something I can do to make sure that the new pages I upload will get there?
Or how can I edit/report on other uploads that should be also this double category of "Writing" + "Scores with basso continuo".

Thanks,
Elam.

Re: New category - Basso Continuo Sources

Well, thanks, but I find the category walker a rather complicated solution for my request.
In my opinion Basso Continuo treatises is an important branch in music history and should be easily accessed.

All the best for now.

Re: New category - Basso Continuo Sources

I see. So I'd have to tag in both categories? Don't you think that the "performance practice" category can grow branches that will make it easier to browse? Counterpoint treatises, Diminutions manuals, Instruments treatises, and so on? I would love to have these special categories, but my ...

New category - Basso Continuo Sources

Hello,

I would like to open a new category: "Basso Continuo Sources".
This will include tagging existing files and uploading new ones.
Can someone help me with creating this category?

Many thanks in advanced,
Elam Rotem.
