Re: Very rare, old recorded Audio...

The composers must be PD but in Europe recordings normally become PD after 50 yrs. In the US however the case is different.

Re: The Carl Nielsen Edition

The printing marks are easily removed with a good Pdf editor. I sent them an e-mail inviting them to upload these and the other DCM titles to IMSLP, even volunteering to include links for the printed scores at Sheet Music Plus. Could you please notify me when you get a reply? I'll meet with some of ...

Re: Grieg, Haugtussa Songs (Mountain Maid)

It wasn't meant as criticism, most of what I wrote was just to clearify things  I do think however that the songs not included in the Op. 67, but belonging to to EG 152 (they were earlier numbered as 149), should not be separeted from each other as they were intended to be part of the same cyc...

Scores by composers (PD) with annotations by conductors

I have access to some scores of russian music (mostly "main stream" works) with annotations by the conductor Issay Dobrowen (d. 1953). Could be interesting for some folks. Can I scan and upload these scores?

Re: Lyapunov Symphony No 2

Since the piano-score of the completion and re-instrumentation of Glinka's Symphony by Shebalin is fair game, I can't see why this shouldn't be... I'm a big fan of this (Lyapunov's) symphony, so I'm looking forward to this one!

Re: An edition of the Italian Concerto

I don't have time at the moment to help you explore it. But I would guess that most of the old catalouge is out of print. Some of it I know was transfered to the publisher "Kompozitor". But that was mostly the works by soviet composers or older russian editions of russian music. I don't th...

However, IMSLP has a page called "Muzgiz" which should help somewhat.
They are not defunct:

Re: Pieces that Grow Louder, then Subside

Bydlo from Musorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, though it would depend on what edition you are using (The Lamm edition starts with a ff the others which I have at hand at the moment (Rimsky-Korsakov, Horowitz) starts with pp)

Organists is a pain in the butt as they are so nomerous and always makes compose preludes and postludes which might be "only" arrangements of other composers scores, and since nobody heard of him (or her) one might need to find out which church he worked in and ask them when he lived... Be...

I think you have the possibility to print from the finale notepad (or what it is called; the free version). Download a pdf printer if you don't have any (PDF creator is a good alternative) and voilá you can convert them yourself...
