Both errors are the result of the VERY crappy MySQL server, which apparently denies requests when it's slightly overloaded. I used to run a monitoring script, which tells me how frequently the website goes down (either due to MySQL or otherwise), and apparently the uptime hovers around 95-98%, which...

Lol. It was because of the new host (they have some VERY weird settings). I had to spend a few days fixing all the bugs that came up because of it. Like how they apparently delete everything in the /tmp dir every few minutes, which means all login sessions don't last any longer than that (and produc...

At first I thought it was... weird, to say the least. But the more I look at it, the more logical and user-friendly it seemed. I think this is a great improvement :) Good work! P.S. I don't know about the width thing though :/ It should be possible to make it so that it continues to the edge of the ...

Actually, it depends on your ISP, and how fast your DNS records are refreshed. Basically, I've switched hosting, and not everyone has www.imslp.org redirected to the new site yet (the old site hosts the forums, and should be at www.imslpforums.org right now).

I think they are ok if the PDF's themselves are public domain. For example, http://www.everynote.com/ sells public domain scores in the form of PDF's but the pdf's themselves are copyright (I believe it's the scan that's actually under copyright so converting it won't do). I'm not sure there's a wa...

But that's mostly rock music. In symphony music, that holds true. Lol. I forgot about the other side of the equation, probably because IMSLP is so classically oriented. Funnily enough, I actually don't mind IMSLP including pop/jazz (this was within the original conception of IMSLP), as long as it i...

Yeah, what Sphemusator said :) As long as the problem is not that you are not willing to upload large files, anything can be adjusted. I can even increase the file size limit to 1GB. Currently IMSLP is using too little bandwidth (less than 5% of limit), and not the other way around, so bandwidth is ...
