I just saw the weirdest thing:
I went on to youtube and found a performance of RK's oboe variations( same instrumentation and trombone concerto)
& there were 6 trombones, 2 SAXOPHONES 3 tUBAS and 3 euphoniums, any Idea how they got these into the score

hey you can go onto the "Other" forum section and check my discussion which tries to answer the questions regarding the instrumentation

does any one by any chance, have a slightly clearer copy of the trombone concerto

and the best lower clarinets to use would be alto and bass?

not basset horn, seeing that it's already pitched in F?

so the best instrument so use for corno basso would be a euphonium?

what tuba's should be used?

thanks guys, i was just looking and the rimsky korsakov trombone concerto to see the instruments in a wind band and it has bassotti in F and B, so if you can download the score, than maybe you might be able to figure it out
