Re: higher quality and less bandwidth by conversion to vector formats

I'm unclear what OP is proposing here. An implementation of an existing process, methodology, and format; a new one; or both?

Re: I need a moderator to delete a page

Firstly, this has nothing to do with the post you used. Secondly, all the links are active for the pieces you mentioned. If you are having trouble downloading something, please post in the Other forum.

Re: Naxos Music Library

Yes, it means the maximum number of allotted sessions are in use right now. There are a finite number of sessions that can be logged in simultaneously. Once those are reached, any other users see that message until slots are freed up. There's no way (that I know of) that we can free those up, unless...

Re: Ottorino Respighi - Two Suites for Flute & Strings

According to your own copy-and-paste work, these pieces are unpublished. Your best bet may be to either contact the musicians who recorded them to find out where they acquired facsimiles of the manuscripts; or if a source for that is given, try and obtain them yourself from the holding library.

Re: Out of control page size.

This is clearly an older thread, but why aren't you scanning natively in 1-bit mode (monochrome)? That's going to give you by far the lowest file size from the get-go.

Hopefully you're asking where a copy can be purchased, because all of his works are most certainly copyright the world over and cannot be posted here.

Re: Arthur Sullivan: The Grand Duke, in full score

What steps did you take before that you are having difficulties? If you already have the score created from Finale in PDF format, then you've done all the heavy lifting. It's then just a matter of uploading it to the site. We can definitely help you do that as that's a simple process.

Re: Why works by Richard Jones still under copyright?

It says that message as a system default reaction since he doesn't have a birth and death associated with him. Until they're added, that's just what the wiki code will display.

I have seen and responded there. I'll see if I can find the transcriber information for this set.

Re: Hassler- 6 Leichte Sonaten

I responded on Zeyar's page. We may need to talk about this internally. I am fairly certain we decided some time ago--fairly uniformly--that fingerings themselves were not enough to establish threshold of originality.

Re: Hassler- 6 Leichte Sonaten

It would be considered Urtext because it was published previously and this "new" edition doesn't contain sufficient enough revisions or additions to meet any threshold of originality. Go ahead and submit your piece. You're doing due diligence by asking what is legal and what isn't. Most of...

Will be classified as an urtext edition, public domain in Canada and the EU, but not the US. Remove any prose by Erich Doflein as that would still be protected since he died in 1977.
