Re: Telemann cantata texts

If it's this CD then I would be very pleased indeed to see the lyrics since these would be three possible cantatas to work on:

Re: Telemann cantata texts

Thanks but this is one of the two volumes I've already done. It's the 1729 Engels-Jahrgang set I'm looking for.

Telemann cantata texts

I have finished my transcriptions of the cantatas from Telemann's Harmonische Gottesdienst. For a new project in this Telemann anniversary year, I was wondering about transcribing some of the cantatas from the Engels-Jahrgang collection. Many of them (parts only) are on IMSLP. While the notes are no...

Charpentier Peccavi Domine H 378

This piece has two work pages, one as Peccavi Domine and once as Peccavi Domine, peccavi multum. The two pages have different files. Could they be merged please? (I have a modern transcription to upload).

Re: Elgar- 7 Lieder

Hope this helps - this is a collection of early songs and only the German translation is by Sachs - original English texts are as outlined below. All of these are already available on IMSLP in both English and German versions. "Like to the Damask Rose", Simon Wastell (1892) "Queen Mar...

Haydn C major masses

The two vocal scores recently added under Haydn's Mass in C Hob.XXII:5 don't match the full scores already there, instead they are scores of Hob.XXII:8 (the Mariazeller Mass).

It's from Mendelssohn's Fantasie or Caprice no 1 in A minor, op 16.

Re: Poulenc organ concerto

For more discussion on this, see http://imslpforums.org/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=7812&p=39060&hilit=poulenc+organ#p39060.
I still think the fact that Durufle advised Poulenc on registration is not sufficient for him to hold copyright.

Rossini Messa di Gloria misattribution

The 'Laudamus Te' manuscript uploaded here is not from the Messa di Gloria, it's from the so called "Messa di Milano", a work of Rossini's youth (possibly by 1808).

Webern - Six pieces for orchestra, op 6

I think that both scores listed here - http://imslp.org/wiki/6_Pieces_for_Large_Orchestra,_Op.6_%28Webern,_Anton%29 - are of the 1928 revision. The Russian score listed as the original 1909 version seems identical to my own 1928 score as far as notes are concerned, although many German terms are tra...

Re: Poulenc Organ Concerto, FP 93

I suggest that registration instructions are an intrinsic part of the composition and that, whoever may have assisted the composer derive them, the composer is the person responsible for their appearance. It seems to me that Poulenc (who wasn't an organist) is just giving credit to Durufle for this ...

Re: mistake in General Information Mendelssohn's Infelice

The current score on IMSLP is H 5. I'm not sure why the work list has H 4's title in German rather than Italian.

Re: mistake in General Information Mendelssohn's Infelice

Cecilia Bartoli has recorded the 1834 version and, as maryellen says above, it is very significantly different to the later one - not just orchestration but structure, themes etc.

Re: Marking in Elgar Sym 1

This is explained in a note to his 2nd symphony:
L - Largamente
A - Accelerando
R - Ritardando

My score of Symphony 2 has an instrumentation list with this note, but there isn't such a page in my Symphony 1 score, which is a bit odd.

Re: The Carl Nielsen Edition

Now that all Nielsen's works are available (and bravo to the Royal Library for this marvellous resource), are there any more protocols which need to be followed for anyone who wants to upload to IMSLP?
