Re: Missing Page in Liszt piece

That page is apparently missing in the source file at the Juilliard library.

Re: Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto #2

I believe "parts" refers to the accompanying orchestra parts only. The solo piano part is usually published in a 2-piano version, with the orchestral accompaniment arranged for a second pianist.

Re: Vanhal - concerto for 2 bassoons and orchestra - parts and full score

The Theodore Front site links work very slowly, but that site seems to be one of several offering the Editions Viento publication of the Vanhal score and parts for $195. However, Gordon Solie, the bassoonist who established and maintained Editions Viento, passed away last year. http://obits.oregonli...

Re: Cuban Overture - Parts Request

Probably Gershwin, and (written 1932) looks to be very non-PD.

Re: Alwin Schroder, 170 foundation studies for Violincello

Any search will probably benefit from spelling his last name as SCHROEDER and the instrument spelled as VIOLONCELLO.

Re: What has happened to my submission?

Carolus, my question was submitted previously as a tongue-not-quite-in-cheek questioning of Notenschreiber's collection methodology, as I still prefer to not see items on a collection page unless they have been published _as_ a collection.

Re: What has happened to my submission?

Understood, but it would seem that Tpgettys' original concern for finding his downloaded file suggests the need for clarity regarding the collections category. See Steltz's question regarding this very example on today's user page.

Re: What has happened to my submission?

Should each of the Beethoven piano sonatas (for example) then be listed on the same page as the collections of Beethoven piano sonatas?

Re: What has happened to my submission?

You are quite welcome. It's always good to hear back in turn. I am not an IMSLP admin, and there may actually be a site policy regarding collections. My thought, however, is that any collection should have been published as such, and should contain at least two distinct compositions, whether by one ...

Re: H. Bishop - Bid me discourse

Rather than being part of an original "opera", this song was apparently one of the items that Bishop contributed as incidental music to the Shakespeare play. His contributions apparently consisted of 12 items: 6 of them were adaptations of the music of others, 6 of them were original pieces.

Additionally, the Choral Fantasy is a single piece, and not a 3-movement work as uploaded.
