I would like to contribute to IMSLP via Amazon buys, but since I live in Germany buying from Amazon US would cost me much more money for
postage than buying from Amazon Germany.

Is there any way using a non-US Amazon and still contribute to IMSLP by buying CD's (which I do often) ?

Waiting !

just to let you know: we can't wait until IMSLP reopens, particularly since some of the sources of good PD music scans are in the process of drying up. Only today I recognised, that the Free Sheet Music Archive has locked most of it's files to non-members, who have to pay for membership, although th...

I am very happy that some progress is being made and I can understand your argument to not publish every move before the future strategy is watertight. So, please do not assume the waning of traffic in the forums is a sign of waning interest in a resurrection of IMSLP - I, as no doubt many others, h...

decreasing activity

It is now two months since the IMSLP site was closed (which was quoted initially as a period necessary to reopen the site), and still there is no visible progress (despite promises to do so), so no wonder interest is decreasing. I acknowledge that there may be much work to do, but I cannot understan...

Resurrection of Forums

Thank you very much for resurrecting the forums - I really thought that this was an indication that IMSLP will not come back after all. There are many people like me out there who cannot wait for a return of IMSLP, who would be willing to help, many of which have contributed to IMSLP and invested a ...

For music, where the original publishers do not exist anymore and there is no legal successor identifiable, the absurd situation occurs, that the music is still copyright due to the rigid rule, although nobody is interested (or entitled) to collect the fee. I am told that French libraries will not h...

Re: Help with IMSLP

Please tell the Dutch government and the European commission how big the loss was when they stole 20 years of work from the public domain back in 1995. Does anybody here know, whether works, which have already been in the public domain in a country can be put out of public domain by a new law ? I.e...

IMSLP - great site, cannot let die

IMSLP has been a great resource, particularly to people interested in rare music - most of which is in the public domain with no publisher being interested in using the material. I've found a lot of rare music there, which I've been hunting for years in libraries and I've been checking regularly new...
