Re: IMSLP & puffinpoint.com at Spitalfields
The Autumn sun came out while the pianist was playing, and struck through the roof onto his hands. A pianist's hands, bathed in sunlight, are special imo. https://puffinpoint.com/images/imslp-puffinpoint-spitalfields-pianist-1.JPG https://puffinpoint.com/images/imslp-puffinpoint-spitalfields-pianist...

IMSLP & puffinpoint.com at Spitalfields
https://puffinpoint.com/images/imslp-puffinpoint-spitalfields-750.JPG I'm pleased to announce that IMSLP merchandise is now available from a retail unit in central London. Puffinpoint.com runs a market stall at Old Spitalfields and now carries IMSLP stock. So anyone living or working in London, or ...

Re: New video network aims to help musicians
Hi James,
Welcome to IMSLPForums. I've snipped your links. It's a bit unusual for a non-spamming new member to arrive here and immediately link, twice, to another site. Do you own, or are you associated with, that domain name? IMSLPForums isn't a link farm.

Re: Paperless IMSLP hardware
Never heard of the Strad, but maybe that's because I live in Europe. ;-) I've found an article where musicians use a footswitch too together with the scores from IMSLP. Here it is: http://www.squidoo.com/footime-page-turner That's great. But you only get one page at a time. Maybe musicians will get...

Re: CPE Bach Essay on the Art of Keyboard
Send me an email if you can help me out. Sorry to nag, and to quote rules, but be slightly careful: 6. IMSLPForums, including the private messaging system, must not be used to facilitate the exchange of copyrighted material. Forum Rules No criticism of klaviersonic, who probably assumed the transla...

Re: Why I love IMSLP
This thread would make a great IMSLP Journal article. Would anyone mind if I wrote one, linking to the thread?

Re: Petrucci's Capitals
Good idea. But it would be a big job. About 19 letters, in the Petrucci style, would need to be invented from scratch. My g/f "rendered" the main red "A" -->> https://puffinpoint.com/images/imslp-Christmas-card-a.jpg https://puffinpoint.com/images/imslp-petrucci-mug-150mm.jpg I'm...

LOL Just checked the UK price of Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Master Collection: £2,763.60 ($4,490.74). That's the sort of money this free software saves.

Re: Add bar numbers to an existing PDF score
I guess you mean pdftk. And pdftk allows to split the initial pdf into pdf pages before you do the GIMP step. http://www.pdflabs.com/tools/pdftk-the-pdf-toolkit/ That looks like a good one but I meant PDFill PDF Tools 7 . It's free, non-watermarking, and will even insert meta-data. I use it for Jou...

Re: Add bar numbers to an existing PDF score
dumping the images, editing, then re-compiling. Unless it's a huge manuscript that's probably the quickest way: - load each page of the PDF into GIMP (free) - do your editing - add bar numbers - save as JPEG - load JPEG into OpenOffice (free) - export as PDF - stitch new PDF pages together with... ...
