"unediting" an edition.

I am working on the scan of this Cotta's edition on this page: http://imslp.org/wiki/Piano_Sonata_No.24,_Op.61_(Dussek,_Jan_Ladislav) . I like the engraving in general but I am deleting all fingerings, pedalling and other signs that the Breitkopf doesn't have because to me, they make this Sonata mor...

Re: Johan Daniel Berlin, Sonatina in D minor for keyboard 5

Scribd contains many scores copied from other sites, e.g. imslp. Could you please provide the scribd URL where you found it? If scribd offers low resolution images of it for free I will try to find the source website.

Re: Where do I add engraving files?

How do I add it to the piece I submitted? When you are in the work page which already has the retypeset score, click on (+) Add File and add your zip exactly like an additional score. Afterwards edit the page. You will see two sets of lines between {{#fte:imslpfile and }} . You need to concentrate ...

[FEAT?] Copyright codes, logged or not

Why is the copyright code of a work, e.g. C*/V*/33 invisible when I am not logged in? Is this information reserved for registered users? Or is it a bug with my browser here?

With which source are you working? Can't you submit this entire source? A low-resolution scan is better than nothing. :-)

Re: Deactivating IMSLP account

Accounts are not usually deleted as any contributions provided by the deleted user would remain "orphan" (i.e., without a contributor username associated to them), and this is bad for traceability reasons. I think a user should be allowed to delete his account at least if there hasn't bee...

Re: Problems with music manuscript paper.

I typically add a third stave at the top, its entire contents marked "8va" or "15ma", and put part of the content there, with the middle staff possibly containing the lower treble notes Then why doesn't usual "manuscript paper" do the job? When you've begun a new 2-sta...

Right. You can say site:youtube.com in the search field if you want this restriction. Now the sets of results are almost the sames between Google and Youtube.

Re: Search results with Youtube

Thanks. That's already an improvement. Do you know if Youtube's search engine is based on Google? When I click on video from a Google page I obtain the same sort of "approximation", but not the same results. :-)

Search results with Youtube

When I make a search with http://www.youtube.com/ - music or another interesting topic - Youtube tries to please me with many results that have only some of my search terms. e.g. woelfl sonata "c minor" gives about 1,010,000 results! Only the first one contains all my search terms. And in ...

Instead of ledger lines and 8va signs, are you aware of this notation for piano music? http://icking-music-archive.org/software/musixtex/musixdoc.pdf See paragraph 2.5.7      I'm not quite sure I see what this is about, based on a quick look It means when there is a long succession of notes on a co...

Here is how to make your own music paper with LaTeX: [...]      Thanks for your suggestions. But I'm not sure what this is about. Re: Using the IMSLP to Locate Rare Copies of Music

There are likely other extant copies, but it is difficult to see how to locate them. I dream of a catalog encompassing the catalogs of all music libraries in the world. Here are two partial catalogs I know: http://www.worldcat.org/ and http://www.theeuropeanlibrary.org/tel4/ but their selection rul...
