Re: Hummel Op 42 vs 52
It's too late - I deleted op.42 yesterday. Is there anyway to un-delete it?

Re: Error in attributions, May the Circle Be Unbroken
I've done it now, but the Habershon link shows up in red because we have no page for her.`

Re: Концерт
I'm bringing this forward, because I have run across some Geistliche Concerte/Konzerte, and I don't see the "sacred concertos" tag in the list. Was this ever done, and should I be using it? Thanks.

Re: Hummel Op 42 vs 52
I moved them but haven't deleted the op.42 page yet, so they still exist in both pages -- just wanted to give other people a chance to weigh in on it if anyone thinks Grove is wrong. I still think the page should perhaps be ''6 pièces très faciles'', which according to Grove was the original title. ...

Re: Hummel Op 42 vs 52
You're right, this is a mess. There are WorldCat entries (several) under both numbers! However, due to the fact that Grove Music has it under op.52, I have copied all the "op.42" files there and will delete that page later. Still to decide, though, is that, although the first publication w...

Fauré, Songs or Mélodies, op.7
We have had this page for several years, under "Songs". They apparently weren't published together initially, and individually there is no subtitle that indicates genre category. However, the oldest collections I find them in are the Hamelle "20 Mélodies" collections. The Wikiped...

OK, they've pretty much all been tagged and linked to the correct operettas now.

Re: Radetsky March
From what I've read, it seems to have been generally known and popular before Berlioz, which would mean that any Hungarian, Allaga included, would have known it apart from the Berlioz version. That was my take on what I read, but others may disagree on it. In the meantime, I've linked Berlioz' Damna...

Re: Radetsky March
Sorry, you're right, it's not Strauss, it's Berlioz! But one of the editions has a note saying the march itself is of "ancient origin, and the composer is unknown". So it should really be under anonymous, arr. Allaga.

Re: Strauss Jr., Hoch Oesterreich
OK, the Grove Music list must have confused me. So if I have this correct now, the operettas themselves have no opus numbers?

Re: Radetsky March
I've looked at the music, and it is the Strauss notes that I remember from many pops concert. I'm sure it's the Strauss.

Strauss Jr., Hoch Oesterreich
Strauss wrote a 3-act operetta called Hoch Oesterreich! It has the opus number 371. He then wrote a march using motives from the operetta, also called Hoch Oesterreich! Usually this would put it on its own page, because it is not a straight extract of a whole number from the opera. However, he gave ...

Radetsky March
This page: http://imslp.org/wiki/R%C3%A1k%C3%B3czi_indul%C3%B3_(Allaga,_G%C3%A9za) turns out to be the Radetsky March, arranged by Allaga. Strauss Sr. is not credited, although the music makes it clear that Allaga arranged it. It is not a paraphrase with added stuff thrown in, it is Strauss's march ...
