carmar 1791: PDFill and PrimoPDF look awesome. Thank you. I'll be sure to check them out. Perhaps someone could add a few lines about this to the IMSLP pages on scanning music scores ? One thing about printing to pdf files though, is that there may be a quality loss or the file size may be unreasona...

Creative Commons and copyright messages on composer pages
Hi. This is just a suggestion and I fully understand if you choose not to follow it or give it low priority. The composer Belkin has only one score on IMSLP which is licensed under Creative Commons. So in this case the standard copyright notice All works of this composer are still under copyright in...

The one I'm currently listening to
My favorite composer is always the composer I'm playing or listening to at a particular moment. Scriabin, Bach, Rachmaninov, Schumann, Scarlatti and a few others appear most regularly, but many more musicians have written music that when I hear it outshines everything else. Sheherazade, Gaspard de l...

Misplaced score (#17960 Serenade by Hartmann)
Hi. I've just downloaded IMSLP17960: Serenade op. 24 , which is placed under J.P.E. Hartmann , but the first page of the PDF says the composer is Emil Hartmann (J.P.E.'s son). I don't think it's just a misprint. On the Emil Hartmann page there's also a Serenade op. 24 which I guess must be another e...

I'm not a lawyer, but it seems only logical to me that uploading copyrighted material (in the uploader's country) is illegal , no matter if it's PD in the recipient's country. On the other hand, I suppose receiving and hosting the score would be legal for IMSLP, if the scores are PD in Canada, no ma...
