Re: sheet music of piano accompany for Gavotte by J. Becker.
Each of the Suzuki Violin School Books Volumes 1 - 5 has a corresponding piano accompaniment book. (The piano accompaniments for volumes 6-10 are contained in a single book). The accompaniment books are published by Alfred Music and are available via any print music retailer...

Re: Editing a comment on a score I just uploaded
The following is offered, courtesy of the Beethoven-Haus in Bonn: The expression mark "appassionato" means "passionately". In the Piano Sonata op. 57 this expression does not appear at any point. Its famous popular name "Appassionata", by which the sonata is mostly know...

Re: Editing a comment on a score I just uploaded
I've just read two conflicting, presumably scholarly comments about the "appassionata" designation, one claiming that Beethoven approved of the publisher's invention of that nickname, the other claiming that B. disapproved of the publisher's PR gesture. No mention yet to be found of the co...

I'd love to know how you did this, coulonnus. And what is that watermark about? In any case, an impressive find, and many thanks!

Re: Zygmunt Noskowski
Kleinigkeiten, I've written to the company distributing Valentina Seferinova's CD to see if anyone there has any info. My search, like yours (and with innumerable variants of the composer's first name) has turned up nothing. I'll let you know when I hear back.

Coulonnus, you should read through the entire exchange of comments. The movement on youtube is not the main subject of the discussion.

Re: Sinding Piano Trio No.2, Op.64
Thanks to all, that was well worth the effort. Just a bit of cleanup left changing all the current viola references to cello.

Re: Sinding Piano Trio No.2, Op.64
I entirely agree with kalliwoda, and thanks for finding that SBB entry. I've never seen violoncello abbreviated that way, and am not surprised that it was misread.
And now, does anyone have any ideas about Opus 64 having been assigned to two different pieces by the original publishers?

Re: Sinding Piano Trio No.2, Op.64
Now this is getting interesting. First, thanks for unblocking the piece. Second, it is still not visible on Sinding's composer page; only Piano Trio #3 is there. Third, of the various recordings and World Cat entries I have checked (including the Edition Silvertrust release of the parts), there is n...

Re: Sinding Piano Trio No.2, Op.64
But the piano trio posted as #2 is listed as Op. 70, which opus number, I believe, belongs to Sinding's A minor string quartet. Also, the piano trio (Op. 64?) doesn't seem to show up under a simple search of Sinding's works in IMSLP, although one can eventually get there via a Google link. Lastly, i...

Re: Schumann Violin Sonata no3
There is a more recent version of Sonata #3, published by Universal Editions. The publisher's description follows: In Vol. 2 of the Violin Sonatas by Robert Schumann, the Wiener Urtext Edition presents the F.A.E. sonata jointly composed by Schumann, Brahms and Albert Dietrich, as well as the edited ...

Re: mistake in placing the score -I need help getting it rem
And to make this a bit more interesting, the piece is published by EMB as "Das Spinnrad" and credited to Anton Rubinstein, "revised" by Györgyi Répássy.
