Re: Mozart, Overture in Bb K311a (Anh C11.05), Score/Parts
Sorry for the premature announcement of availability. The editorial notes say nothing about major revisions, they only state that obvious mistakes etc. in the first edition parts had been corrected. So I assumed that the score could be released on the EU-server like an "Urtext" edition. T...

Help with translating the plot summary of a Schubert Opera
I am thinking of doing a wikipedia article on Schubert's two act Singspeil "Der Freunde Von Salamanka" (The Friend from Salamanca). But my rather sketchy knowledge of German is not sufficient to allow me to translate the text on page 2 of the PDF ("Vorbemerkung") If someone can t...

Re: Sibelius' lost 8th Symphony
That story reminded me of something I once read about Malcom Arnold, he claimed to have seen sketches for the 8th in England during the 1930's and always regretted not copying them when he had the chance...

Mozart, Overture in Bb K311a (Anh C11.05), Score/Parts
I'd be interested in obtaining the score/parts for this possible work by Mozart. It seems that such parts were published in France in the 1800's and possibly some time in the early 20thC.

Re: Fanfares by Fanfare
I've heard, though I'll have to do more research to confirm this, that the 18 fanfares Goosens comissioned during WWII were not the first such set he had comissioned. Supposedly there is an earlier set of fanfares he comissioned during WWI, but there are no details on just who was asked to compose t...

Spohr Potpourri's Op. 5, 22 & 23
Currently I'm working on articles for Wikipedia on the chamber music compositions of Louis Spohr and I've found having the scores to hand is useful. These three early works (The Opus 5 is apparently his first work for string quartet (Actually Violin + String Trio)) are all single movement multi-temp...

Hiller - Violin Concerto Op. 152
I'd be interested in seeing if the full score (and/or parts) could be located. Apparently it was published by Schott in 1875.

John Knowles Paine, the two symphonies
Currently missing from the site are the two Symphonies written by John Knowles Paine, which are important parts of musical history in America as their success inspired George Chadwick. The two symphonies were: Symphony Nº. 1 in C-Minor, Op. 23 Symphony Nº. 2 in A-Major "In Spring", Op. 34 ...

Danzi: Horn Concerto (unsure of Opus)
Anyone know where to find a copy of this one? I've tried and failed to find an Opus number, so I'm hoping that will not be too much of a problem.

Looking for information on the Hayden-Popper Cello Concerto
Hi, I'm thinking of adding to wikipedia a page on the Hayden-Popper Cello Concerto (aka Cello Concerto, Hob.VIIb:5, C Major (Haydn, Joseph)). I've tried searching for ["david popper", cello concerto, haydn] but have found little of the information I'd need, such as details such as how the ...
