Re: Clementi, piano sonatas, Kalmus/Belwin mills

It seems that there are at least two Peters collections of the same 24 sonatas. The first one, senior one, revised by Louis Köhler and,F. A. Roitzsch has plate numbers 6435, 6436, 5738 and ???. The second one, junior one, revised by Ruthard, has plate numbers 8915, 9345, 8049 and 8792. This one has ...

Re: Clementi, piano sonatas, Kalmus/Belwin mills

Then could you please compare your Cahier II, p. 22 with http://imslp.org/wiki/3_Piano_Sonatas,_Op.40_(Clementi,_Muzio) Sonata No.1 scanned by piupanissimo? No, sorry, Cahier II is the only one I do NOT have ! But it clearly seems to be two different Peters editions, the one scanned being more rece...

Re: Donizetti, Le départ du volontaire

A piece "Le départ du Volontaire" by Donizetti is listed here , as a chant guerrier à deux voix (war song for two voices) ; it is marked for piano and not for guitar ; it was one of the scores of the Bibliothèque catholique de Termonde (Belgium) in 1847. The version on IMSLP, which is for ...

Re: Daniel Auber - Gigue

In spite of what says the video title, it is not a gigue by Daniel Auber but by Jacques Aubert.
http://imslp.org/wiki/Category:Aubert,_Jacques
The sought after gigue is probably the final movement of one of the several sonates he wrote for "violon et basse continue".

Re: Gossec, Rosine ou L'épouse abandonnée, opera

It seems from this book that there exist three different (manuscript ?) versions of a gavotte called Rosine, dating back to 1786 (i.e. the same year as the opera), under references RH318a, RH318b and RH318c. You might want to contact the author of the book, Claude Role at the Centre de musique baroq...

Re: Gossec, Rosine ou L'éposue abandonnée, opera

Please note that the spelling of the second title is wrong (and is so on many Internet pages) : it should be l'épo us e abandonnée . It is funny to note that the gavotte in the opera is not mentioned at all in the reviews that I have read dating from the period. The opera was a fiasco. Some reviewer...

Re: Antiquarian Sheet Music Book

This kind of bound book collecting popular scores was rather common in the second half of the 19th Century for young ladies. It is often fun to sight-read and play. Although you do not mention the composers with each title, it seems to me that most of the items are pretty well-known. For example the...

Bonjour et bienvenue.
Si tu as des problèmes, tu peux toujours demander sur le forum. En fait, c'est très facile de mettre des partitions en ligne.

I guess the message stays in the outbox until it is read by the addresse. Then only, it goes in the sent box.
