Re: Copyright Request: Mozart Clarinet Concerto "Urtext"
http://imslp.org/wiki/Special:ImagefromIndex/250110 is the link to the file (last on the "parts page"). it is still blocked, i guess until one of the mods has reviewd it. Hope the scan quality is good, put quite some effort in the outcome. Piano reduction is the same quality but i would pr...

Re: Copyright Request: Mozart Clarinet Concerto "Urtext"
the interesting thing is that "Urtext" is printed all over the piano score, but not on the clarinet part. I will go ahead and upload the clarinet part. Fortunately i'm a EU resident so i will be fine.

Copyright Request: Mozart Clarinet Concerto "Urtext"
Hi, i have the C.F. Peters Urtext version of the Mozart clarinet concerto in my hands. It says "Urtext" in bright red letters on the piano score. however it also says "Herausgegeben von Klaus Baumeister". From what i understand there is no copyright on Urtext editions, but the im...

Re: Hindemith, Paul - Symphonic Metamorphosis
i think we got lucky. i searched all catalogues from 1972-1975 for "hindemith" and the symphonic metamorphosis are not listed (only the "band" version of the March from 1943) I really do dislike the copyright law - especially the US copyright ... except: Hindemith, Paul. R574602....

Hindemith, Paul - Symphonic Metamorphosis
Hi everybody got my hands on a study score of the piece mentioned above. one of my absoluuuute favorites. copyright is 1945 and hindemith died in 1963. does that mean i could upload the score when i visit my hostparents in canada next year? the worldcat entry confirms my guess that the copyright has...

Re: Uploading Parts which are only availible for rental
well, in that case all we have to do is to find out whether the piece has EVER been sold, or not. As it is plate number 13 (F.S.) it should have been around for a very looooong time (i'm guessing 1880's). If that's the case we could go for it.

Re: Uploading Parts which are only availible for rental
@notenschreiber: i did notice. no offense - i have huge trust in carolus' knowledge of legal issues, which is why i reposted. @ carolus: i will check with the person who rented it from breitkopf&härtel - i know for a fact she did not sign anything, it was a online transaction of money. i will as...

Uploading Parts which are only availible for rental
Hi there, I was wondering whether or not it is generally legal to upload music that is only available as rental music or has been copied from rented music, given the copyright on the typeset and the piece are long outdated. I've created threads for the pieces in question in copyright request. the mu...

Re: Schubert - Ouverture D556
should the rental issue (the piece is only availible through rental) be a problem i can always retypeset the music from the score - sure it's a days work, but should be worth it :-/

Re: Schubert - "Ouvertüre D-Dur" (im italienischen Stil)
this one is not the one that was "for hire only" - it was from a library. the other overture (556) was the rental music. i'm not a legal expert, but i guess caroleus can tell us what to do. on the music itself it doesn't say anything about copyright, rental, copiing .... i could just as we...

Re: Schubert - "Ouvertüre D-Dur" (im italienischen Stil)
ok,i just rechecked. it says F. S. 13*. on the bottom of the clarinet part, an indication for the use of original plates. also the rehearsal marks (A-K) as well as the slurs, tempo marks, dynamic marks (except for 1 fz) and the look of the music are exactly the same regarding the score in imslp and ...

Schubert - "Ouvertüre D-Dur" (im italienischen Stil)
Hello, I'm playing the piece mentioned above next week in an orchestra. since the parts are not yet uploaded i was wondering whether i could scan all the parts and upload them. Unfortunately the copyright situation with that particular piece is rather complicated. It's a print by VEB Messe- und Musi...
