French protection

Alban Berg is still in copyright in Spain and some works in France. As I am French and I quite know our special wartime extention laws, I'd like to ask you which of Berg's works you say are still protected in France. Theses extentions only apply to works published in France (before 1921 and/or befo...

Urtext

An Urtext edition of a PD work is a new, edited version of that work. In many countries (I'm not sure in Canada) the work of the editor is protected, considering the editor as an author (e.g. with a life+... duration). The fact that a Urtext edition is a newly engraved score also makes it protected,...

Hello everybody, First at all, as I didn't yet, let me say all my thanks, admiration, and support to Feldmahler and all IMSLP contributors. - People say that the new IMSLP should respect the life+70 rule, because of EU lobbyists. But there are countries, even inside the EU, that have longer copyrigh...

Correct Russian spelling for Davydov is Давыдов, not Давидов - that's why there's a y in a modern romanization.

Also: Mendelssohn, Felix --> Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Felix

Wrong Ave Maria

There's a problem with Gounod's Ave Maria : On the work page http://imslp.org/wiki/Ave_Maria_%28Gounod%2C_Charles%29 the file linked http://imslp.ca/images/imslp.ca/2/20/Ave_Maria.pdf is not the good work: it is Brahms' Ave Maria and the file is similar to the one http://imslp.net/images/f/fa/Ave_Ma...

NonPD-FR

In France there are special laws, adding nearly 15 years of author's rights to the common Bern and EU life+70 term (It is unclear if it applies to French composers only or to all). This makes that many composers that IMSLP considers PD for everybody in the world, are still copyrighted in France. (Ex...

I think I can. (I have the same old edition.) But I need help to know: 1. the resolution of the existing file, 2. how to replace the file on the wiki. By the way, I think this file should be labelled with the WorkNonPD-EU template: because of the author Maeterlinck (d. 1949), Debussy's work is still...
