Re: Help with Modern template
Ok, attached is a screen capture of the page for a work I recently uploaded. If I wanted to edit this page, how would I do it? What would I click or do in order to edit this page?

Help with Modern template
More than one administrator has told me to switch away from the Classic template so that things will be easier for them. Ok, I'm trying the Modern template which is what they suggested. What they did not say was how one can edit pages using the Modern template. Maybe I'm blind, but I can't see any w...

Publisher: Gaveaux (frères) or Frères Gaveaux?
I'm one of those who likes to keep the list of music publishers up up-to-date: https://imslp.org/wiki/IMSLP:Music_Publishers I've come across the situation of Pierre Gaveaux (a composer represented on IMSLP) who with his brother Simon, began publishing music in 1793 under the imprint "A la Nouv...

Re: Taking requests for reconstructing scores from parts
I've posted parts for silent film music all of which could use a score. First priority: Gloria's Romance by Jerome Kern https://imslp.org/wiki/Gloria's_Romance_(Kern%2C_Jerome) In this one, I notice that some of the parts have cues labeled "horn," but there is no horn part. What's up with...

How to upload a work with multiple copmosers
I've got a few works which have multiple composers listed for a single work. It's not a situation where different composers composed a seperate movement or act but where two or three people are the credited composers for a single work. All the composers have their own pages on IMSLP. How do I go abo...

Re: Taking requests for reconstructing scores from parts
I've posted parts for silent film music all of which could use a score. First priority: Gloria's Romance by Jerome Kern https://imslp.org/wiki/Gloria's_Romance_(Kern%2C_Jerome) Three pieces of generic silent film music by Hugo Riesenfeld (particularly Western Allegro ): https://imslp.org/wiki/Catego...

Time to change the notice
I noted that the notice for possible copyright works in the U.S. still say: These works are also probably still under copyright in the U.S. if first published after 1923. Finally, time to change that to 1924. :) Or for more accuracy, it should say "...if first published in or after 1924."

Re: Connecting secondary literature to composition
But much of that material (in the particular the material that people would want to read, i.e. from the last 50 years) is in copyright. There are many places that have texts online, even music texts online (I've transferred a number of them from the Internet Archive to IMSLP). But IMSLP is unique in...

Public Domain Day 2019
For the United States, Public Domain Day 2019 (January 1, 2019) will be an important day: It will be the first time since 1998 that published material automatically goes into the public domain, specifically anything published in 1923. I'd like to suggest that uploaders focus on scores from 1923 so t...

Four Score and More and OpenScore LiederCorpus
Some of us may have received this message which I would think is of interest to IMSLP regulars: Dear colleagues, I am writing to draw your attention to ‘Scores of Scores’: a massive encoding project which will provide public domain, encoded scores of 19th century lieder for all purposes. https://fou...

Books from the Internet Archive
I was going to scan some public domain books on music composition/analysis that I thought would fit in with IMSLP's collection of books on music. Then I noticed that these works are already scanned by the Internet Archive. Can I upload these scans to IMSLP to enhance this site's collection?
