Scores from Wikimedia Italia

Postby nickanc » Thu Jul 26, 2012 1:34 pm

Hello! I am Nickanc, I play cello, I am involved in it.wikipedia.org . Today i discovered that Wikimedia Italia ( https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Italia ) used to have in its wiki ( http://wiki.wikimedia.it/wiki/Pagina_principale ) a project for free music, both public domain or free-licensed that is now discontinued. It seems that there is some material that could be transferred on IMSLP. I would like to help in this idea, but i am quite a beginner on IMSLP. Any advice?

Perhaps you could make this Italian project better known by including the URL into http://imslp.org/wiki/IMSLP:Other_music_score_websites.
But I didn't succeed in viewing any score. Is it possible to help the users with less than 10 words? Afterwards perhaps some users will make some transfers. :-)

I would find some public domain or creative commons scores and then transfer them over here by uploading them. That is definitely a good start. At first glance I don't seem to be able to find any scores though.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention!

I didn't posted any link because that project is closed and was located at http://musica.wikimedia.it/ ... I knew the existence of this thing reading https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discussio ... kimedia.it where a member of Wikimedia IT said they hadn't been able to find a project onto trasfer the materials they had. I asked them if they knew imslp.org and they said they didn't, but they said that they would be glad to give IMSLP some scores they had in public domain/free licensed... so, I posted this topic here. I hadn't seen these scores.
