Is UE feeling lucky?

And, if they are, will they try to shut down the on-line collections of the Library of Congress?

I'd like to see them try.

Should these collections be in the public domain?

If it were up to me, everything after the death of the creator would be public domain. Editors, should only be credited if they do a major edit, and then only form 25-50 years after the edit.

But things aren't up to me.

Sorry, I meant to say "shouldn't these collections be in PD?" But since they are listed in the Library of Congress, I'd imagine they are since all publications by the LoC are PD assuming these collections are indeed published by the LoC.
