Scores from the Library of Congress

Post by Zeyar Shwe »

I have been looking at scores from the the Library of Congress. It seems that only a single page JPEG can be downloaded at a time. Is there a way to download all the pages of the score and is there a way to download PDF's or are there no PDF'S ?

I found a score with a pdf https://www.loc.gov/resource/ihas.10000 ... z%2C+henri but most pages have only jpg's and tif's. Some images want deskew and margin reduction, so I always prefer to use these jpg's. Download the biggest size available.

I'd choose the tif's over the jpg's for reworking.

Here's an easy way to get to the LOC directory that contains all the tifs so you can more easily download them. Using your browser look at the page source and search for the following text: data-file-download="TIFF". In the case of the Herz page it will point to the following file: http://memory.loc.gov/natlib/ihas/wareh ... 76/011.tif. So, just copy and paste http://memory.loc.gov/natlib/ihas/wareh ... 100001676/ into your browser and you'll get a directory listing of all the tif images for that score.
