probably the 589. Its more famous.

but maybe it's better to buy an urtext version...30 bucks but a looooot more correct!

How do you know what the score looks like. It's blocked.

And that a looot is a huge exagerration. Oftentimes, the only difference is lack of fingerings/editorial additions, which are nice to have.

I usually work with anastatic reprints, and trust me, there are a lot of people who think to be better than the composer and when they copy from the manuscript thery correct those that they think are mistakes...or they are not able to understand the notes written in a bad way....or simply they are not musicians but only people payed to copy...or they just copy from another modern edition!

its difficult enough to play philologically, so I think that more close to the original means less errors...

How do you know?
I know becasue of the sections - and there's a website address in misc. notes.
