I need to find out if this is uploadable. I own a 1st Violin part. One wishes to contribute.

The Copyright is as follows.

Symphony No. 4 (1945)

Copyright 1950 in USA by Hawkes & Sons. (London Ltd)
copyright for all countries.

the plate number is 19948

It is only public domain in countries with at life + 50 copyright law. Given that it would still be under copyright in the EU, it would undoubtedly be blocked. The Symphony no.4 was composed in 1945, so doesn't meet the pre-1923 date for public domain in the US. The short answer is that you would probably be wasting your time.
