Beethoven sonatas - Schnabel edition

Post by worov »

Hi, everyone!

I have a digital copy (not my scan) of the edition of the Beethoven Sonatas by Artur Schnabel : http://www.worldcat.org/title/32-sonate ... c/36240703

Not sure this is this exact edition. At the bottom of the page is written :

"Proprietà exclusiva per tutti i paesi: EDIZIONI CURCI S.r.l. - Galleria del Corso, 4 - 20122 Milano
© Copyright 1949 (Renewed 1977) by EDIZIONI CURCI S.r.l. - Milano
Tutti i diritti sono riservati"

The is also a reference number "E. 4279 C." for the vol. 1

"E. 4280 C." for the vol 2

"E. 4281 C." for the vol.3.

And there is some information about the reprint : "Stampato in Italia - Printed in Italy - Imprimé en Italie en 2003 - INGRAF s.r.l. - Via Monte S. Genesio 7 - Milano"

Does anyone know if this edition could be uploaded to the website ?

Thanks in advance.

Schnabel died in 1951, so his edition isn't PD EU yet (life +70 years), but it would be PD Canada (life + 50) provided Schnabel is the only editor.
I see we've got a couple of sonatas edited by Schnabel already (8, 17 and 19) which are labeled Non-PD US, Non-PD EU, so that makes sense.
