Sergei Prokofiev - It doesn't work

Post by FranKisko »

Hi. I'm from Spain and I'm very interested in Prokofiev's pieces, principally "Romeo and Juliet: 10 pieces for piano Op. 75" but I can't download them.

When could I download that? Thank you very much.

Since that particular work was written (and published) in the late 1930s, it is still under copyright in the United States; as Prokofiev died in 1953 (less than 70 years ago), it is also under copyright in the EU (all of his works are illegal for you to download, in fact). It will be possible for you (and everyone else) to access the file on 1 January, 2024, through the EU server (that's when he falls into the public domain there). (It is currently necessary to block files under copyright in the US because the corporate entity that owns IMSLP is located there.)
