Hello. I have a mini score of this piece (the original version for bassoon, strings and 2 horns) published by Ricordi which says 'copyright renewed 1960'.
Does this statement have any validity considering it is not (as far as I can see) a new edition, and Wolf-Ferrari died in 1948?
If after enlarging the quality is acceptable, is this something I could scan and upload?

The reference to copyright renewal is valid. It is a reference to the US copyright laws at the time. Back then, a copyright in the US would expire after 28 years unless a renewal was filed with the copyright office in the 27th or 28th year of the term. This could of course still be done even if the work's original creator had died in the meantime. Often, a notice was added to the later printings of the work, but usually these are just later printings of the same edition.

Anyway, Wolf-Ferrari's work is 100% in the public domain in Canada. So yes, you can submit this file!
