Opus Transcribisticum

Postby gacl » Fri Dec 12, 2008 7:01 am

Hi,

This site/page called Opus Transcribisticum has helped me a lot in finding piano transcriptions of my favorite pieces. It's in German but it's not difficult to understand the information.

Klavier = Piano
Vierhändig = Four hands
Verlag = Edition
And so on. . .

It is quite a big database. I hope it helps.

How do you view the files? Are they on a seperate page as the piece names? Do you have to request the music from the site manager? Any help would be great and much appreciated.

I thought it is just a database of names and titles - no files. May still be useful if you are looking for a particular arrangement.

Sorry. I misunderstood the purpose of the site. Still, it does seem like it would be helpful to track down a publisher.
