Download from Gallica

I tried to download the complete file from here: http://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/btv1b90832642 ,
but the file is always somehow damaged. Other files from Gallica downloads well. Any ideas, what is happening?

Hi Notenschreiber,

I haven't used Gallica for a while, but I wonder if it is something to do with their new website design?

I have no problems with the J.C. Bach on windows. However, on a mac computer the "En cochant cette case, je reconnais avoir pris connaissance des conditions d'utilisation et je les accepte" box is missing and so is the "Téléchargement" button. Is this the problem you're having?

Have you tried using piupianissimo's downloader?

I´m using windows too and all seems to be as it should: the download works and the file has 16.3 MB. But when opening, after the title page
there is a message in german: "zu wenig Daten für ein Bild". The file you uploaded to IMSLP (thanks for that!) opens fine.
No, i haven´t tried to use piupianissimos downloader.

Here I obtain "données insuffantes pour une image" at p.4 and pp 4-10 are blank. After this there are strange arrangements of 3 pages into one.

I could open the file with another PDF viewer, and i have these arrangement of three pages too.
Then i tried to change the download process: not "speichern", but "öffnen", that works.
There are no problems with another computer running with windows 10. I´m using Vista.

Hi Tim, that´s really strange now. I wanted to open again my download of the quintets from IMSLP with Adobe reader, and get now the message "zu wenig Daten für ein Bild". Opening with PDF Vista brings these strange triple pages. Something is wrong with this file.

The file is defective. I paste hereinbelow the validation report obtained through https://www.pdf-online.com/osa/validate.aspx. It seems that all image lengths are wrong by a factor 3 (8 bit per pixel grayscale vs. 24 bit per pixel color?).

Actually, I am getting now "Nicht genügend Daten für ein Bild", which I thought I had fixed by downlowding the new version of adobe Acrobat Reader. I'm not good with these things. Do you think my computer somehow destroyed this file, or is this the kind of problem you were having with gallica downloads?

Did you try the version that I uploaded to the IMSLP wiki? Please check that your browser downloads the updated version, and it does not retrieve the old version from the local computer cache. The size of the new version is quite larger (almost 25 MB), so it can be easily identified.
