Piano Trio in A major attributed to Johannes Brahms, Anh. 4/5

Post by cheap imitation »

I've obtained (not made myself) a good high quality scan of this piece, believed by its original editors to have been composed by Brahms sometime around 1853 and subsequently destroyed. Another potential author suggested has been Albert Dietrich, Brahms's collaborator on the F.A.E. Sonata. (See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piano_Tri ... to_Brahms))

It was first published in 1938 and therefore probably should be in the public domain (editors are Ernst Bücken, d.1949 & Karl Hasse, d.1960) but I'm not sure entirely how to make clear that Brahms's authorship is unproven and disputed.

Use the Atrib template. An example of its use can be found on J.S. Bach's BWV 566 page.
