Parry, "Hear my words, ye people" holograph

Post by Sanctum »

The scan of the manuscript by the RCM Library is described on IMSLP as "Complete score". Well, it isn't : it's a cueing score mostly for the chorus, with notes in Parry's handwriting of his intentions. Is there another score which is complete? It would be useful to see the complete thing.

Putting it under tab Choral Scores. (Complete doesn't refer to number of instruments- vertical completeness - but to horizontal, page 1 to n- completeness, hence "complete scores" can be complete -vocal- scores if they're under the vocal scores tab, they don't have to be -full- scores. If this work isn't also a complete score in that sense, if it doesn't at least contain the complete choral parts in manuscript or something like that, or complete something from beginning to end, then the tab can be changed to Sketches, or thelike, and "Complete Score" changed to something more descriptive, yes... :)
