Henry Purcell Chacony (Z. 730)

Post by rdtennent »

Tried to create a new work page and submit scores and arrangement scores but I've done something wrong. The "add file" button takes me to an "Undefined" page different from the work page I partially created. Please straighten out the mess and I'll add the scores.

I've just noticed that there's a work page for a "Pavan and Chacony". The Chacony movement is the same work (Z.730) I'm trying to upload scores for (but an arrangement for three violins) and the Pavan is a separate work, likely Z.751 or 752 and likely for viols. The Pavane should have a separate work page and the existing
"Pavane and Chacony" could be listed as an arrangement on both work pages.

The Pavane of the "Pavane and Chacony" at IMSLP is in fact Z.752. The Purcell Quartet version at youtube seems to be with three violins but it sure sounds like viol music to me.
