Cui Kaleidoscope Op.50 Missing No.19

Post by klossbruhe »

While mention is made that the violin part to No.11 is missing, no mention is made that No.19 Valse is entirely missing. This should be noted so that perhaps someone can contribute it.

The violin part for #11 is on the Sibley site; it's the last page of the PDF file for that piece. Some of the Op. 50 pieces at Sibley have separate violin parts, some do not. Perhaps the original scanner got them mixed up.
The Sibley listing seems to be missing three of the items from Op. 50, including the Valse.

This was one of our earlier scans (assuming you are referring to http://hdl.handle.net/1802/4303), and is actually from a binder's collection (that is, separately published works bound together on the shelf). Today we would make separate records for each of them, and make separate scores and parts as well, but in 2007 we were still trying to find the best workflows for things. I'm not sure why some of the violin parts are separate and why others were part of a single file. Sorry for the confusion.

Many thanks for the feedback, and yes, your reference link is accurate. Now if only those missing parts would magically appear from the vaults of wherever...
