This method was published in 1825 or 1827 - the date 1746 is obviously not correct and should be changed or removed.

Thank you very much. You are absolutely correct. But 1746 that you saw was not the date of publication but rather the plate number. Actually in my original upload, I did not put in the date of publication and now, after your post ,I have added the date of publication as 1827 as stated in WorldCat.
