Rachmaninoff - Prelude in C# Minor, Op. 3

Post by pjones235 »

As intimidating as it looks, I'm making my way through perfecting it... but I'm struggling in the last section in which each hand has its own grand staff. Any tips? Thanks! :D

Listening to music is sort of a theft you are allowed to do. CPE Bach.

I suggest you search rachmaninov prelude "op 3" with Google Videos and listen how other pianists do it.
e.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyGwCX4q-5k

In particular at 3:36 you must "cheat" and play the low C octaves before the chords (second system of last page).
