Plagiarism?

Post by pierre.chepelov »

In 2009, a (young) user did upload Mulet's Toccata "Tu es petra" − it has been of course quickly deleted.
But on the same days, this user also uploaded two of his "works"
− As another user recently noticed, Bastian's Toccata is nothing but a transposition and a bad "reduction" of Mulet's work. Does this constitue a copyvio?
− Bastian's Einzug reminds me a French carol; maybe an arrangement by Guilmant or a similar PD composer? − is this a new work?

It absolutely does constitute a copyright violation; thank you very much for the notice. Plagiarism, especially that of a copyrighted work, is a very serious offense and results in a non-negotiable minimum ban of one year (infinite for repeat offenders). Both of Fuchs's works will be removed immediately.
[EDIT] Done, see here.
