CC-Zero license for typesets?

Post by bicinium »

CC-0 is a Creative Commons license that exists to waive all your rights (including attribution) to the fullest extent possible in any jurisdiction. It's like a Public Domain mark, except for one's own works. This is the license I would like to apply to my typesets; right now, I'm only allowed to choose CC-BY and therefore force my name onto derivative typesets (which I do not wish) and in principle also the originals (although I do not put my name or a copyright notice anywhere). Has the CC-0 license ever been under consideration for IMSLP? There's an additional issue in that musescore.com has a CC-0 setting, and some of my typesets were first published there. Thank you for your time.

Apparantly CC-Zero is now an option, but I don't know since when; a big thank you in any case.
