[FEAT/BUG?]one instrument = one word. Problem with search.

Post by kkman »

I mean, sometimes you find:
Horn, horn, French Horn, Hr, ...
or
cello, Violoncello, ...
This makes the search more difficult.
I propose having just one word for each instrument.

Anyways, where it says "Instrumentation" there you find always the right word (sometimes with/without capital letter). However if you put it in the search box, it seems as if the search engine would not look there, so you got the problem of the different names if the instrument is contained in the title of the work.

Example:
Chansons et danses, Op. 50 (Indy, Vincent d')
http://imslp.org/wiki/Chansons_et_danse ... cent_d%27) (bbCode bug?)
has got "Horn" in the Instrumentation description. However, I search for it with "Horn" and I get 233 results none of them containing the piece. (search) (I noticed it says "Showing below 387 results" and it actually shows only 233. Bug?)
Even if you search for "Horn Chansons" you don't get to the desired page.
Workaround: using Google... like
site:http://imslp.org Horn Chansons

(Please feel free to delete this post if it makes no sense or I don't know how to search.)

Thanks for your time.
