Looking for something fun to(maybe) play 4th July, someone mentioned this piece:
John Knowles Paine(1839-1906): Concert Variations for organ on "Star Spangled Banner", Opus 1 written in 1861.
And I came across this title:
Dudley Buck(1839-1909): Concert Variations for organ on the "Star Spangled Banner", Op. 23
Paines variations on the german national anthem are quite amusing(Though not easy I have been told). Is it possible that someone out there have heard about these and have any of them?
