All of John Field's piano concertos

Post by Minus22 »

He was very popular in his day, and I love his 5th piano concerto. But sheet music on him is scarce and hard to find, or expensive. But he IS in public domain, so would anyone out there with his scores be willing to submit them? :) He might have something worth studying in him if he influenced Chopin and piano technique so much in the early 19th century.

It's very cool you know about John Feild. There is recording of all of the Piano concertos he composed. He did influence Chopin and Piano Technique plus he invented the nocturnes. He is a forgotten composer of the early romantic period. I love him.

Does he mean submitting the scores to IMSLP once it is back online?
