How do I add an illustration or picture to a work page?

Postby sbeckmesser » Tue Dec 01, 2009 6:30 am

I have the PD original set designs of Strauss' Der Rosenkavalier as printed in the libretto of the Solti recording (as per my post in Music Related > All Time Favorite Recordings) and think that at least one of them would be nice to have on the Rosenkavalier page. How would I go about doing this? I couldn't find any relevant entries by entering "illustration" or "picture" in the search field.

To add an image to a page, after uploading the file, you can use the following syntax: [[Image:whatever.jpg]]. So, for instance, if you were to add a photo of Charles Avison to a page, you would put [[Image:Avison-portrait.jpg]]. (Of course, PNG files are also permitted. And the Misc. Comments section is a good place.)
