C.P.E. Bachs "probestucke"

Post by jmnbass »

I bought the "Essay on Keyboard Playing" by C.P.E. Bach and and I cannot find the lesson pieces to go along with the book. The German title is "Achtzehn Probestucke in sechs Sonaten." If anybody has these pieces or knows where I can buy them please let me know.

Thanks,
Jason

I can't find them in my facsimile, too. Maybe you'll find those sonatas at Wq.63. At the moment I have no access to the IMSLP server ("server not found" - I don't know what happens). So I can't have a look. - Ralph Theo Misch

Wq63/H70 is not in the Google caches of the worklist or the first of the two Category pages (100 out of 112). So probably not yet? Wish I had a clue what was going on, and if a restore is needed, that the backups are there to restore from, &c.

Loeb Music Library has several editions of the Sonatas in Facsimile. If you click here, you'll find a list of CPE Bach works, and there's a standalone edition of the Probe-Stücken, as well as several editions of the Versuch. Hope that helps. =]
