I know what this means in Italian, but I can't tell what it means in music. It's in Beethoven's Bagatelle in D Major, Op. 119, No. 3. Does it mean to go back to the beginning, play to the sign, then play from the coda to the end?

Yup.

I think that all of those "death" pieces are rather unusual. Look at Franz Liszt's Totentanz, or Camille Saint-Saens' Danse Macabre...

I get that all the time. 40% of the time I'm on any IMSLP page, it will load very oddly. Every time I refresh the page, it comes up differently. That would be with Chrome...
