This administrator created my personal page for no (apparent) reason, and it is blank. I assume the reasoning behind the page's creation is that IMSLP prefers blue links on uploader fields, and since yours did not exist at all, it was created to be more aesthetically pleasing on workpages. I don't think it serves any other purpose!

I think that the personal page also allows users to contact the contributor for any clarifications or issues about a submission, either using the associated discussion page or using the function "Email this user".
The personal page also allows to inspect the threads already present on the associated discussion page, which may be useful to clarify some aspects already discussed, without the contributor is contacted again for the same reason. As far as I remember, deleting the personal page would imply that the discussion page is also automatically deleted.
